Tilde key to move a pattern within shape not working

hen using a Mac, the tilde key works properly for moving or scaling patterns, whether in Chinese or English input mode.
However, when I use Windows, the tilde key doesn’t work as expected. I’ve tried switching the keyboard from Chinese to US English, but it still doesn’t function.
That said, holding down the tilde key to create trailing patterns works without any issues.

    I’m sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind trying to run Illustrator under Safe Mode (Windows / macOS) and checking if it helps? Also, try to reset Illustrator's preferences as described in this article (https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/troubleshoot-preference-issues.html) and share your observations.

     

    Disclaimer: Please note that renaming preferences folders will remove all the custom settings, and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also save a backup of the folders if you want. The location is mentioned above.
