Tiny Font and Icons; Lenovo Ideacentre AIO 700 24-ish

Hi, I want to get Illustrator at least, but have a problem with font and icon sizes on my Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 700 24-ish Touchscreen desktop.

There's a known issue of tiny fonts and icons on some apps and programs with this particular desktop but Lenovo is no help, the net says to change resolution and so on but it's an issue between the programs/apps and the Lenovo build, I have found out. I have downloaded Avira, Gimp, Inkscape and a few other things to see how they appear and they're all absolutely tiny. The windows are sometimes normal size but all fonts are about 5 points and icons could fit on the head of a pin. Have had and done all the correct adjusting, etc and nothing. So, anyone know if this will be the same on Adobe products?

Thanks, Kevin

Correct answer kevinodelarte

Hi Kevin,

You may want to try downloading a trial version of CC apps to see how they'll perform on this PC. I haven't heard anything regarding the IdeaCentres and don't have one to test it out, unfortunately.

You can download a 7-day trial version of Illustrator via this link: https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/illustrator

If you do decide to test it out, please let us know what you find. Let us know if you need anything else!

Hi, Wren,

I just did and I believe it will be okay. It does, however, have very small fonts in the header on the main and all windows, but the dropdowns seem pretty normal. The tool icons appear of normal size, I'd say. Overall, I think it's a go and I can see the smaller fonts well enough. Windows and overall program appear normal and full-sized. That's what I expected in a way, but better as I had downloaded a trial of Corel Draw and it was a bunch of postage stamp sized mess I couldn't even read at all and just didn't think it worth the time to download Illustrator, so I asked. Did anyway, thanks to your reply, and I'm glad you did. I'll try out the trial in my inexperienced manner and go from there!

Most appreciative for you responding.

Be well,

Kevin

Hi kevinodelarte,

Could you please share some screenshots or a video of the issues along with the following details.

Exact version of windows and Illustrator

Does this happens occasionally on a particular file or all he time on multiple files?

Hi, srishtib8795206,

I cannot offer you a screenshot of Illustrator functioning per the issue with Illustrator as I don't have it, as I had stated that it happens in other programs and additionally is not said to not have a fix for various programs/apps without any list being available. My question is if anyone has Adobe products such as Photoshop or Illustrator and  Lenovo model such as mine and the same issue. It's an issue regarding entire programs and apps. I don't want to get Illustrator if it would be shown as tiny fonts and icons like some other programs I have and while I can find many complaints about it in general online, with no resolve possible, I wish to know if anyone has an issue between Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 700 and Adobe products because I find no complaints that there are issues with Adobe/Lenovo....which doesn't mean there's not a problem.

Thank you most kindly and if you then know of an issue between the two, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Kevin
