Too many bugs to warrant continued use

Every time I type the dimensions I want to use for my new document, the values constantly reset to default as I'm typing. Every time there's an update, my shortcuts get reset to default. At work, my colors degrade over time in my working file becoming less saturated. So many other issues. None of those issues exist in Figma, where I'll be taking my patronage.

In the next few months I'll be done using Adobe for good. I've used it for the past 20 years, and never have I experienced as many bugs and failure to fix bugs as I have in the past two years. That along with the constant push of AI and using our data to train it has shown that Adobe is more about profits than it is making a good user experience.

If the issues persist, could you please confirm the exact version of Illustrator you're using along with your OS details? This will help us understand if the behavior is related to a specific setup. The problems that you present are not ones that have been widely reported by other users. That leads me to suspect that you may be using Illustrator along with third party plug-ins which may not be entirely compatible with whatever version of Illustrator that you are using and are affecting its performance. If you would like to find out any possible causes for the distress that you are experiencing please report what exact version of Illustrator and what operating system that you are using.

@jeremygordonart I wonder are you doing this when the document is open? I don't have this issue, maybe try this

workaround, I always set my preferences for measurements—like inches, points, or pixels—before I even open a new document. If you change them while a document is already open, the settings will likely only apply to that one file. This is a workflow tip I learned over 25 years ago, and it's still what I do today.
