Tools also rotate when rotating view

Hi there,

 

When I rotate my view in Illustrator, my tools also rotate, making the up arrow move left etc. Rotating my view really helps my work, but all tools being screwed is not very productive.

 

Does anyone know how to prevent this? I hope I am missing a checkbox somewhere.

It is the View that is rotated, not the coordinate system.

How are you rotating your view and on what OS & AI version?

 

For me works either if I use

  • rotate view tool
  • view >> roate view >> choose your angle

iMac 12.6.8 AI 29.1.45

 

What system are you using, the touchscreen systems have extra control panel settings and can get buggy on rotate view.
