Tracing on multiple layers (Cannot get clear image)

Hello,

I have two layers I am trying to trace on. When I lower the opacity on one layer, the image does not show through clearly. Is there any way to fix this?

Lock all other layers except the photo layer
Click the photo layer from the layers panel
Apply template
View Outline mode
Nothing happens

And how do you draw?

What is the scope of your question? I don’t hink I fully understand your problem.

When I add template, it dims the image, but then I try to apply outline and it does nothing

Can you perhaps describe what you are doing step by step and what does not work to your expectation?

I don’t think I understand your workflow.

And you are drawing on top or below?

What you can do: turn on template mode for your layer that has the photo.

Then go into outline view and draw. The photo will be visible.

Then switch back into Preview to do the coloring.

Can you perhaps show a screenshot that contains the setup of the Layers panel?
