Transform line path weight after scaling

I have created a huge document of line paths (a navigational map).

Unfortunately, I realized too late that scaling only portions of the document creates a problem with other lines that weren't scaled.

To over-simplify an example:  I have 2 lines, both being 2 pt weight: (A) is unscaled & skinny, and (B) is scaled & fat.

I understand I can change the weight individually, but they don't look the same, and of course the properties are out of sync.

Is there any way to homogenize all my lines to be the same? Same appearance, same weight, same properties, etc.

I now understand I should have checked my General preferences to "Scale Corners" & "Scale Strokes & Effects," but I'm a day late and a dollar short, and now on to damage control.

Am I stuck with a wonky document? Do I have to redraw? Or, (crossing fingers) is there a fix?

Any guidance would be appreciated 🙂

As I (mis)understand it, you wish to have one and the same Stroke Weight for all the linework.

 

If that is the case, you can just use the Select dropdown, disregarding any raster images:

 

1) Select>Object>Stroked paths (if you only have the linework or wish to have the same Stroke Weight for all paths whether filled or unfilled), otherwise Unfilled paths (if you also have filled paths with strokes that you wish to keep at the current Stroke Weight);

 

This ought to select all the relevant paths, then:

 

2) Simply apply the desired Stroke Weight to all the linework.

I think the problem is there are a few lines that are actually brush strokes; I used an Apple pencil using Illustrator CC on a laptop to draw the map. Apprently a couple of these lines turned to brush strokes. It doesn't appear it will be that big of a deal to redraw those lines, thankfully. 

I did try to utilize your instructions above on my PC, but whatever I did isn't cooperating.

Always create a backup of the artwork before you make irreversible changes.

 

With regard to the brush strokes, what happens if you select everything and then click the Clear Appearance button in the Appearance panel?
