Transforming pattern reduces quality

As can be seen in the video link, I'm trying to reduce the size of the pattern while transforming it and certain paths start disappear, yet when I do it outside of the pattern it works perfectly.

Any thought on why could it occur?

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I tried replicating this behavior on my end but could not. Would you mind trying to update Illustrator to the latest version and check if the problem persists?
