Transparrent color.

Is there a color you can add to an object that will induce transparency? If it's placed in a group, the effect will end at the group. In a layer, it will end at the layer. Alternatively, provide options like a percentage: 100% equals full transparency down the entire layer, while 99% will skip the last object on the layer. At 1%, it will only affect one object or appearance layer down.

Perhaps it is possible and your screenshots do help a bit to understand the request.

It may be even more obvious if you could provide a sample Illustrator file that shows and explains the desired behaviour.

Are you talking about knockout groups?

Simlar to Knockout group but , just a literal color swatch; it's a transparent mask that, no matter where you place it, will knock out whatever it covers depenting on the presentage to how many layers/objects its over. this way it will behave diffrently when i use it in patterns and brishes.

Illustrator is open almost 24/7 and just about the same for Bridge and Photoshop
