Trouble with copying from device

I've just got another laptop,it has a diffrent version of illistrator. When I copied my files from my previous laptop some files are not working well . I do understand this with fonts since all fonts are not installed in my new laptop but I can't open some files properly. should I save them as svg?

If you are working on new version Illustration and than want to open files in old version you need to save your files in old versions from app. Otherwise some property will not be work properly.

When you say you can't open properly, what does that mean? Can you give more details? or share a screenshot?
