Troubleshoot - Illustrator path corners are overfilling

I'm designing a logo, and am having issues with the way the corners of the paths are intersecting. They are closed paths with a fill color, and no stroke, but the color is bleeding out beyond the path shape. They are responsive when I pull the corner rounding tool, but I need sharp corners. I tried erasing them, and the eraser catches them, but they immediately reappear. I've also tried the joining the paths and converting to shapes, and none are responsive. I've never seen this before. I circled the problem areas in green.

Correct answer Monika Gause

Is it OK in Outline view?

Is it OK in CPU Preview?

If so, then it is OK. GPU does that thing, but it doesn't matter.
