Trying to change colour of elements to gold

Hello! I'm trying to change the colour of certain elements in a design to gold, so I'm selecting all those elements and changing the colour to gold, but when I hit 'enter' it changes it to a grey/silver? I can't work out what I'm doing wrong. Can someone please help?
