Type tool selection problem

Selecting text with text tool is irratic. Selecting text box with pointer tool, moveing box to new location on page the box does not stay in new location, but pops back to previous location. This MacBook Pro is running Illustrator 2024 with Sanoma 14.0. I am unable to use Illustrator.

The problem may have been a result of an Apple Studio Display firmware update. Normal Illustrator operation has resumed.

The problem may have been a result of an Apple Studio Display firmware update. Normal Illustrator operation has resumed.

    The problem apparently has not been resolved. After a week of normal operation, when draging an object to a new location, stops before move is complete and snaps back to the starting location.
