Just updated to latest Illustrator 22.0.0

Also on High Sierra with 2017 5K iMac

I am unable to add a stroke to text on a path. In the Appearance tab, I would like to Add New Stroke and place it behind the type. I can select Add New Stroke but nothing happens.

With normal text I can do it.

Any suggestions?

Did you select the pathtext object with the select tool (black arrow)?

After fiddling around a bit I was able to make it work. It wasn't working in the usual manner and then suddenly it was. I am sure I was doing something differently but figured it out. Thanks, Monika!
