Unable to click on live paint options

Question

Hi everyone, I've been using Illustrator for my latest uni assessment. I recently used the live paint tool to fill segments of my work, however after reopening the file I got the notification that Ai "could not find the linked file" and my fill was missing. This is frutrating but I thought I could fill it again quickly no problems, but now the live paint options are greyed out and I can only click on "gap options". Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Please describe in more detail what you did there. Also: make proper screenshots don't don't involve your mobile phone or any kind of camera. Your OS has tools for screenshots.

Live paint cannot contain placed images. So really not sure what you did there.
