Unable to correctly export or save Artboards as svg

Unable to export or save Artboards as svg correctly still (version 25.4.4). It gives me the entire svg I had been working with, and will not crop to the artboard. Or it will not have layers or certain elements of the layer that are within the artboard. I have tried multiple times by both exporting and saving it, to no avail.
