Unable to do the clipping mask, tried many different things

Hello there, I know this isn't a "new" topic. I have seen a lot of people asking for help on this part and I checked multiple answers on it but nothing seems to help and I either keep getting an error message or it uses my design as clipping mask instead of my object.

I want to get my 2d design of a t-shirt in a 3d view (I have multiple 3d shirt templates but all keep giving me errors)

Can anyone do it instead of me or give me a working template?

Greetings

Hi MineADiamond,

As I understand it, you have artwork for a t-shirt and want to put it on a 3D object. Is that correct?

First: make a symbol of the artwork.

Then edit or create your 3-Artwork

Click More Options, then Map

Arrow through to select the correct surface for the 3D object

Choose from your Symbols to put the artwork on the surface of the 3D object

If these steps and the link aren't enough information, post back and / or display screen shots.

Try to download t-shirt mockups then export your 2d t-shirt front and back objects as png and then in the photoshop import that png in the mockup layers, it automatically will make it 3d .

And a description of the error message.
