Unable to download Adobe illustrator

Says my system needs to be updated. is there a direct download elsewhere other than the adobe site? i really need to finish my project on time.

What operating system are you using? Are you saying that you've already had Illustrator installed and are now trying to get a newer version? Current versions of Illustrator can only be installed on more recent operating systems. Fo specifics about that see: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/system-requirements.html#ai-on-the-desktop. If you need an older version of Illustrator you will have to contact Adobe Customer Care at: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html. It may or may not be possible for them to provide a download link to an earlier version.
