Unable to embed images in Illustrator 2020 (24.2)

In the new version of illustrator  when we place an image and click embed in the links panel the images gives white background and the image dissapears. As in previous version it was working perfectly and it used to create a copy of the that image file within the illustrator document and gives perfect output. The new version has some bug or issue on it somehow that does this wierd thing when working on it.

    Sorry to hear about this trouble. That's not a typical experince with Illustrator. I would request if you could share a few more details like:

     

    • Operating system you are working on?
    • What type of images (JPEGs/PNGs) are those?
    • Few screenshots of the issue.
    • Is the issue related to a specific document? If yes, could you please share the document with us? You can upload it to the Creative Cloud (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/share.html) and share the download link.
