Unable to find fonts in Illustrator on Windows machine

illustrator all of a sudden do not have my fonts except for Myriad. When I go to my C: Drive and click on the folder for Fonts. The folder open and there is nothing inside. But when leave the fonts folder and right click on it for the properties, its saying that there are over 68,000 files and no folders. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Williams,

Sorry to hear about this. Looks like an OS level issue. Could you please check if you can see your fonts in other applications? If not, please go to Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Fonts and check if you see your fonts there.

Right there should not be any folders in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder. And when you click on that folder, Fonts, this is what you should see.

If you are not see that then you should first Restart your computer then Test.

And doing a DIR in a command prompt of C:\Windows\Fonts this is what you get. No real folders like in other folders

And doing a DIR in the Windows folder/Directory you get this.

Notice the <DIR> in the red rectangle. That DIR is denoting a Directory. Nothing like that in the Fonts folder. Is your Fonts folder you are looking at in the Windows folder.
