unable to get illustrator to show my outer glow correctly

ello, im almost done with my project but running into where the outer glow on my torso shows around the whole torso instead of just the edge or outline as the rest of the head and body

also when trying to move the eyes mouth and face and hood into the correct file structure i lose the face completely 

not sure what else i can do besides starting completely over from scratch again and i truly do not want to do that
