unable to install two versions of illustrator

Question

I just updated to the current version of illustrator. I am realizing some things are not working as they were in 30.2.1 until i get it figured out i wanted to install 30.2.1 alongside the newest version.

When trying to reinstall 30.2.1 creative cloud only gives me the option to remove the current version and then go back to 30.2.1 which I ended up doing. how can i install two versions on the same computer at once?

You can’tinstall two versions of the same major release--e.g., any 30.xx versions. You can only install two major releases--e.g., 30.xx and 29.xx.
