Unable to launch Illustrator (0xc0000142)

I treid reinstalling the app, restarting my laptop , running as administrator and updating windows. After updating windows it opened but when i tried to open a file form my documents it stopped working again and said the same message. The wierd thing is my photoshop is working fine. Somebody please help all my work is on here.

    I’m sorry to hear about your experience. I hope Radwan’s suggestions helped resolve the problem. If not, please follow the steps to reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and check if it helps:
    - Close all Adobe apps
    - Uninstall all currently installed Microsoft Visual C Redistributable packages
    - Install the latest Microsoft Visual C Redistributable package from here: (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170)
    - Relaunch Illustrator

    I have the same issue and tried reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable but have the same error. Adobe Illustrator 2025 opens without issue, just the latest version is broken - same with InDesign.

    Did you re-install all available Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables? Also, please ensure you have all available Windows updates installed on the computer.
