Unable to paste object in same place using cmd + shift + v shortcut in Illustrator

Whenever i try to copy paste any object at same place {comand shift v} it gets paste in the left hand side of artboard. Please help me with this.

Sorry about the trouble. I would request you to share a few more details along with the ones asked by @Doug A Roberts & @Jacob Bugge:

  • The exact version of macOS and Illustrator
  • Is the issue happening while working on a specific document? If yes, could you please share the document with us? You can upload it to the Creative Cloud (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/share.html) and share the download link.
  • When did this start happening? Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates, or web extensions installed recently.
  • Does resetting Illustrator Preferences (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/setting-preferences.html) help to resolve the issue?
    Disclaimer: Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings, and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

 

Also, please try booting the system into Safe Mode and share your observations. In Safe Mode, your device starts your system to perform certain checks and prevent third-party software/ services from automatically loading or opening.

1.Mac Version: macOS Big Sur (Version 11.5.1)

2.No isssue was not particularly centeric to specific doc

3.I don’t  rember exactly when it did started, but yes i have installed security software like McAfee, Zscaler, Bluecoat. DLP.

4.I tried thisresetting Illustrator Preferences and restarted my system but it did not worked

Thank you for sharing the details. I would like to know if you tried running the app in Safe Mode? Also, you may try disabling the security apps (McAfee, Zscaler, Bluecoat. DLP) and test if this helps resolve the issue. Also, you may close any application running in the background and see if that helps resolve the issue.

How about using F instead of V?

I did that also but it is acting like copy paste. Comand shift v is acting weird and it is pasting on top left corner of the artboard

Are you saying that Command F (holding Cmd and pressing F) pastes on the top left corner of the Artboard?
