Unable to paste text when creating a New Folder

Many versions back it was possible to paste text in the folder name field when creating a new folder from Save As.., Export As.., Save a Copy..

 

Is this ever going to be fixed? I mean its getting quite frustrating.

Please post feature requests and bug reports to https://illustrator.uservoice.com

Otherwise the relevant people will never see them.

It's not really a feature request as this used to work and in all other apps (Photoshop and InDesign for instance) this does work so it is clearly an Illustrator problem.

 

I was hoping that someone here found a fix.

You want the developers to do something. And then you really want to post to Uservoice.
