Unable to save any Ai files

Are you saving directly to your hard drive, or the cloud.?  Avoid using the cloud option to simplify and remove some of the possible causes you maybe having trouble.

If you are on a Mac make sure you go to Apple System Preferences/Security and Privacy and add Illustrator to the Full Disk Access list.

Please tell us the error code.

Also: your version and system and where you save your files.

are you using file > save as > and trying to save to the same folder where illustrator is installed?
