Ungrouping / Selecting individual objects created in a Generate Pattern in v28.1

Once a create a pattern using the new Generate command, how can I turn all the objects creted into individaul selectable objects / release the objects from being a pattern to a individual objects?

I want to use this feature to create "spot the difference" puzzles for my grandkids...so I want to be able pick any individual object in a generated pattern and edit it.
