Unicode under AI CS6

Some of our users are using the copy/paste functionality to transfer some sentences from Word to Adobe Illustrator CS6. And if the text contains some specific characters as the € symbol for example, it's systematicaly replaced by other characters, due to the fact that the unicode is not manaeged under AI CS6. Is there a solution ?
