Usage of Measure Tool

Hello guys, 

 

Lets say I want to measure the distance between exact 2 points as I marked in below picture, there is no option for snapping the points when the measure tool cursor is active? How can I specify the exact points?

Try the line segment tool instead.

The transform panel will tell you the length of the path.

    No, the measure tool is unfortunately rather a relic and doesn't snap or take advantage of smart guides.
