Using Appearance panel

I cannot understand clearly purpose of this operation, eventhough it is said.

Time 8.08-8.20

"Get rid of fill in characters panel and pasting fill in type panel. That mean going from characters to type panel."

This is performed by a delete & paste operation. I can understand cut & paste but this is delete & paste operation.

It's not a cut & paste operation.

You set the fill from the Characters to None. And then you add a new fill the the Type (the text object).

Just watch what she is doing. She is going from one hierarchical level of that object to another hierarchical level of that object.
