Variables Export as single PDF

Hi all! I am attempting to use variables in AI for a data merge, but would like all the exports to be a single PDF with multiple pages. Obviously I can combine the individual PDFs afterward, but curious if there's a way to export them as one instead of x number of individual files? Thanks
