Variables loading as Invalid

Hi, 

I'm trying to set up an Ai page with variables. I already checked there are no special charachters and everything is labled property "Variable1" "Variable2" on both excel and Ai. 

(Even tried it with Gsheets and no luck.)

Yet any time I try to load the library as an .CSV or .XML it says "The incoming variable library is invalid." I've looked through the community and everyones answers didn't work for me. 

I'm running on Ai 2023, with a Mac

Using only text based variables.
