Variables to multiple artboards for social banners - naming and text control

Hi,

I have a client who does loads of social media banners so I have artboards set up - seized and named for Twitter, Insta etc.

They supply the info in Excel and I've been using Variables to populate the artwork which is fine - up to a point. I'm struggling a bit with text control as some entries are eg. 'BEST EVENT' and some are 'BEST COMMERCIAL VENUE UP TO 750 SEATS'. So I need to be able to manually turn the copy in some cases for best fit. But I lose that when I flick to next data set.
Apparently the text cannot be formatted in the CSV to allow it tbe imported with returns in place.
Ideally I'd like to pull in the data (have been using Variable Exporter Script) with named datasets. Somehow get the text to behave and batch export with dataset name_artboardname. 
I can get it batch save like this but the text always needs manually tweaked.
Any assistance greatly appreciated. If I can crack this I will save myself hours of work.
