Vector Font

Liebe Community,

ich habe mir schon einen Ast gesucht und mein Trainer bei der gestrigen Schulung konnte mir auch keine Hilfe geben. Nun hoffe ich auf Euch! 🙂

 

Für meine Frage habe ich folgendes Beispiel aus Adobe Stock (Datei Nr.: 546974698):

Wonderland font, high uneven rough typeset, Halloween alphabet, crooked jumpy letters, witch style type, vector cartoon typographic design Stock-Vektorgrafik | Adobe Stock

 

Hier wird ja eine Schrift verkauft. Nur wie kann ich diese (Vector)-Schrift nutzen? Es ist ja bestimmt nicht Sinn der Sache, das ich die Buchstaben in meinem Text einzeln anordnen muss 🙂

Ich habe was herausgefunden: Ich habe die besagte Datei in meinem Illustrator geöffnet und bei den Ebenen nur das Vektor-ABC eingeblendet. Dann bin ich auf "Export von Element" und habe hier alle Buchstaben reingezogen (konnte man auf einmal machen) um sie im Anschluss einzeln (ging automatisch) als SVG zu exportieren. Im Anschluss unter The SVG Font Machine | Glyphter als Font erstellt. So hats geklappt und ging relativ schnell 🙂

 

Wenn das jemand nachmachen will und Fragen dazu hat, gerne einfach auf mich zukommen 😉

Die Stock-Datei ist irreführend getaggt. 

Alternativ zum Rumschieben der Buchstaben: selbst einen Font bauen. Entweder mit Fontself Maker (ca. 50 EUR) oder mit Birdfont (Kosten je nach Lizenz von 0 bis 20 EUR) oder eionem anderen Font-Editor.

Adobe stock doesn't sell actual font files. Only graphics. So, indeed, the only way you could use this is to treat the separate parts of the graphic as letters and arrange them. I do not say this is a good thing.

Thank you very much for the quick reply. Ok, that is of course a bit strange that I have to treat the letters like a graphic and set them to a text. 🙂

If you have to use those letters repeatedly for multiple projects it might be worth it to use the Fontself plugin for Illustrator to generate an actual font file from those letters. That would be better than manually re-arraging a bunch of letter shapes.
