Vector pdf from Illustrator issue!

I am trying to insert a vector artwork pdf from Illustrator into Prezi software but it looks pixelated once uploaded, have tried all sorts of variations but it is still pixelated.

I have contacted Prezi and this is what they have said:

Regarding the PDF export, I don't think vector graphics should have a DPI setting. We have checked the PDF you have sent, and it contains a single embedded 5064 x 1658 raster image.

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with Adobe Illustrator, but the main goal would be to export your work as a PDF that keeps the vector graphics instead of flattening them.

Can anyone PLEASE help because I havent a clue what they are talking about - I've been using CS for 15 years and this is a new one to me!?!

Please show your artwork.

Include the layers panel (expanded layers)

And the appearance panel for the object.

Certain effects or transparency can indeed turn your vector artwork into pixels when exporting as a PDF.

Hi Monika, I have attached the .eps file here for you as requested. There are effects on the artwork…

Yes, there are effects.

The drop shadow will cause rasterization. Although they should not rasterize the complete thing into one big image (unless you have set up transparency flattening in a very extreme way)
