Hello @MRCF5,

I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing similar problems. Could you confirm the version of the OS/Illustrator installed on your device, and if this happens with specific files or when saving to a particular folder location (internal/external/network drive or a cloud-synced folder like Google Drive/Dropbox/etc), so I can better assist you?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi @Jeroen van As,

Thanks for sharing all the details, and I completely understand how stressful this must feel, especially with a deadline coming up.

Could you please confirm which macOS version you're using, and let me know if this happens with all files or only specific ones? Also, when you press Command + S or Command + Shift + S, does the save window show up at all, or is there no response?

If possible, please try running Illustrator in Safe Mode and then test saving a new file directly on your desktop. If the issue persists, I recommend resetting Illustrator preferences (after backing them up) as described here: https://adobe.ly/4eTpdY6.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hi Abhishek,

Thanks for your reply. Here are my answers:

• macOS: latest version (15.5)

• The save window shows up, after pressing save nothing happens

• It looks like it is only happens with a specific file (text and some minor illustrations)

Workaround > I have saved the file in the Adobe Cloud, re-opened it and saved it as a pdf on my hard drive.

Hi @Jeroen van As,

Thanks so much for the update, and I'm really glad to hear you were at least able to work around the issue by saving through the cloud. Since the Save dialog appears but nothing happens after clicking "Save", and the issue seems limited to a specific file, it would be great if you could share a short screen recording showing exactly what you're experiencing. That will help us better understand the workflow and what might be blocking the save action.

In the meantime, if you're able to, please try testing the same file from a new local admin macOS user account. Additionally, try the following steps and update:

First, rename the CEP folder to CEP.old from this location:
macOS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe

If that doesn't help, rename the UXP folder to UXP.old from the following paths:
macOS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe and ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe

Once you've tried this, let me know if you notice any change in behavior.

I'll keep an eye out for your update and will be happy to assist further based on what you find.

Abhishek
