Very fast computer - very slow / laggy Adobe Illustrator. Tips?

hey guys,

I have a very fast computer. A 6800K six core i7, 32gb memory DDR4, M2 950 pro Samsung SSD, a 850 samsung EVO ssd and an GTX 1070 inside for raw gpu power. Photoshop runs like butter in large PSD files over 10GB. But Illustrator is extremely laggy. Any thoughts about speeding this up or change something that could be an issue?

I run Adobe CC, the latest and using W10.

Any thoughts?

Roy,I wonder whether there is a GPU issue (depending on the graphics card).You may try toggling between GPU and CPU with Ctrl/Cmd+E, or you may try disabling the GPU Performance by clicking the Rocket Icon in the App bar, or on the top of the menu bar, and deselecting the GPU Performance check box; you may also uncheck GPU Performance in your Preferences.This is what GPU is about:https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/gpu-performance-preview-improvements.html
