Wacom drawing pad not working properly

Question

I have trouble with my Wacom drawing tablet both on Ps and Ai. When I start to work eveything is normal and after short time it just doesn't react, everything else is running normal, if I do something with mouse or keyboard it reacts. I've discovered that if I use Alt+Tab to switch betwen Ai and anything else and then return to Ai it is working again, but also for a short period of time. I've updated drivers, and tried everything else I've read but with no luck.

Can someone help me because it is impossible to work like this.

I think the latest Wacom driver is version 6.4.10-03. Is that what your computer is running? Is the driver for your computer's graphic board/chipset up to date?

Is Windows Ink enabled in the Wacom Tablet Properties applet? Is usually keep it disabled on my computer system because Windows Ink causes a lot of infuriating problems. But those problems sound different from the issue you described.

Every now and then I have to reboot the computer system after turning it on because the Wacom tablet driver doesn't load properly in the boot routine. I'll either get no response from the Wacom Pen at all, or Windows Ink has somehow become enabled again and creating its own havoc.
