I am trying to use illustrator effects to bend a photoshop file which I used to be able to do but it doesn't do it the same anymore? I used to copy the layer into illustrator go to  Effects warp and I could do it from there but now the Arc and all of the other effects are greyed out and unusable! Any one tell me how to do it now? Thanks . . .

Are you linking or embedding your Photoshop image? If you haven’t embedded it before applying an Effect, try it.

    No effects available?

Also not when you draw a rectangle and apply them?

Please try if rebooting the computer helps. If not, you might need to reset the preferences. There is a button in Preferences > General
