Watercolour brushes have changed to dashed?

Hi, 

I usually use the brush tool to create continuous lines with the watercolour line shape. For some reason my lines are now being broken up as if the line is dashed, it is not. Is this something that has changed with how illustrator formats the brush tools? They do look diffeerent. 

The brush tool seems to now be broken into sections? 

Can anyone help me to make this back into a single line that the vector is stretched to the full length?
