were to start with creating a new layer in illustrator

hi all very quick question. I would like to copy a logo into a new layer for a prom video on illustrator then into, after effects then into, premiere pro to make the vodeo. but what is the best settings here to start with. I have taken screen shot of the screen they are the options i have been given in 

illustrator. thanks in advance
