Question

What dimension do you use for designing coasters?

Forgive me, I am very new to designing for print collateral.

I am making designs to be printed on 3.7" x 3.7" coasters. However, I can't image working on a roughly 4" x 4" workboard would yield clear results. For anyone that has successfully designed coasters, what specs/dimensions did you work in?

If your design is vector based (shapes and text), it will just work.

If your design contains pixel elements, ask your print service for the necessary resolution. And then of course it will work.

You're welcome.

It is still important to watch out for the size of your design. If those are cardboard coasters, then probably tiny elements will get to be a problem. Did you get samples from the print service so you can judge what's possible?
