What happened to pen tool?

Upgraded- Sorry. Selecting the pen tool on the side bar used to show pen tips that: minus anchor points, plus anchor points, convert anchor points etc- not any more! Also, I had to stop work flow and figure out how to override unwanted new defaults. Please!?

Windows > Toolbars > Advanced should bring back the missing tools.

Thank you! Why on earth do they hide that? It should be the reversal- if you want to less options, go find the cryptic "Advanced" mode. I have... never mind.
