It's one of the most anticipated moments for me after every release, sadly it has been kind of disappointing the last couple of versions.

Well please keep it up for those like myself who probably wouldn't get around to finding out if not for your efforts.

As for why things have been "quiet", perhaps the upgrade to UXP scripting has been taking resources. It has started for Indesign, and perhaps Illustrator won't be far behind.
