Hi All!  I have a project in class and the professor cannot think of the type of art, we are to use typography to design a picture.

For example if I put b o y I can create a person with a pararenthesis for eyebrows.  Trying to build stairs, and don't want to use an I.

Suggestions on the type of art it is?  It is not just adding words to a image. Thank you.

I don't know that it has a specific name like kinetic type in motion graphics, but of course there's all manner of type usage in arts. Have a look at some Art Nouveau stuff or early expressionists as well as "structural painting" from the 1960s/70s.
