Question

When colors change from process to spot

Hi All - not sure if anyone else has experienced this problem, but for some reason when I add colors from my libraries to my swatches panel, I realized they were spot colors. I had to delete those colors from my library and replace them with new process swatches.  Maybe this happened because I didn't set up the colors properly in the library, but I believe I did. Has anyone else experienced this?

As Ton mentions, it is a bug. I noticed that if you turn off the "global" setting in the swatch when creating it, it will retain the process builds after it is saved and used from the library, but once it's added to the color swatch palette in Illustrator, any name you gave it will default to the cmyk values used.

Thanks for the response and the link. At least I now know I'm not imagining things - can't believe how long this has been an outstanding issue.
