Question

When generating a vector graphic using Adobe Firefly and downloading the output (e.g., SVG), the file does not open correctly in Adobe Illustrator. Illustrator either shows an error, fails to load the file, or opens a blank/invalid document.

  • Open Adobe Firefly
  • Generate a vector image using any prompt
  • Right-click on the generated image and attempt to open it in Adobe Illustrator

Issue:
The file does not open in Adobe Illustrator, and nothing is displayed.

    Hi @Mahesh_Thorat,

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear you’re running into this. I just want to confirm your exact workflow. Are you clicking on the generated image in Adobe Firefly and trying to open it directly in Adobe Illustrator, and that’s when it either fails to open or shows a blank file?

If that’s the case, could you try downloading the SVG from Firefly first and then open it in Illustrator using File > Open, and check if that works any differently?

Also, it would really help if you could share a short screen recording showing the workflow in action so I can investigate this further.

Let me know how it goes.

    Abhishek

No problem with that. Which version of Illustrator are you using? Can you perhaps share the SVG?
