When I draw shapes there is a black stroke. I cant figure out how to remove it as there is no stroke

All of a sudden, when I draw shapes there is a black stroke. I can't figure out how to remove it as there is no stroke applied. I have checked under GPU and CPU. is there another place I should check? I included a screenshot showing all of the areas I have checked and there is no stroke indicated. TIA for any help.

There is no stroke now. Which is hopeful, what am I missing? (thanks by the way)

 


It sounds like there is a stroke applied to the layer.

If you copy and paste that item into a new document do you get the same results in the appearance panel?
