When I open my PDF in illustrator it appears like the boxes. how can i solve this?

    We’ll need more information than that. e.g. What is it supposed to look like? What program made the PDF?

    Hello Brad,
    I exported the pdf from Revit, I am new to illustrator, When i watched the videos it shows that when the pdf is imported in illustrator all the lines are exported as the separate entity but when i import the pdf it shows this box and if i wanted to edit the drawing i am unable to edit it as the drawing is not broken into different pieces. does this give you an idea?
