Question

When I save to a pdf, the pdf saves as black / illustrator extremely lagging

This has never happened to me before. When I go to save my design, it is completely black. I'm not sure if it has to do with my layers or what. When I try to copy and paste it into a new page to see if that works, my computer shows the cirlce rainbow and sounds like its insanely overheating. My mac is new to last year, so I have no idea whats gong on.

    Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind sharing version of the OS & Illustrator? Does it happen with a specific file or all? Do you work on files saved on a network drive or local?

    Hi!
    Thanks for responding so quickly.

    I'm not sure if this answers your question exactly, but I believe my os is 10.15.7 and my illustrator is 24.2? I think? I apologize I am not positive I am looking in the right areas.   

    To answer your second question, this is the only time this has happened, and it's turning black when I save as PDF. 

    And to answer your third question, I believe it would be local because it is just saving it to my computer.

     

    Hopefully that helps. Let me know if I was way off because I am not the most tech savvy person.
