Hi, Inside Illustrator when any generative AI stuff is created, where all the creation history saved?

I tried finding but unable to locate any.

So, does this means that if the illustrator file is not saved then the generations will vanish along with the files?

Are there any history of it saved in firefly/cloud as a backup so that I can access them even if the illustrator file is not saved?

like the variations and the selected generations, are these available only inside illustrator?

Do any copies of them saved anywhere?

Hello @StarAG,

The copies of the generations are not saved in a user accessible manner. If you would like to retain these generations, you will need to export/save them manually.

Some work was generated in a new file which I accidently closed without saving the new document. I tried to check the generation history and nothing is visible there.. Are these generations saved anywhere or are they available on the document only?

Hello @StarAG,

Thanks for confirming. The Generation History panel will only display the generations created in Firefly. The variations are accessible when reopening the file.
